Founded in 1885 by Mr. John Lumsden, The Golf Club of Dublin is steeped in golfing history and presents a stern golfing examination on a truly magnificent links course and is widely accepted as one of the greatest links courses in the world. The links was originally designed by H.S.Colt, the world-famous golf architect from Sunningdale.

“Wristy Christy”, “The Great Man”, or just “Himself”; however you refer to Christy O’Connor Senior here at the Golf Club of Dublin, you will see a smile break out at the mention of his name and hear a story told. The multiple-time Ryder Cup and World Cup player was our professional for an incredible 57 years.
