Visitor Experience
Cross the Wooden Bridge
Cross the wooden bridge from Clontarf to North Bull Island, and your adventure begins.
This sandy island, just 5 kilometres long and 800 metres wide, with its beautiful beach – Dollymount Strand – and breathtaking views of Dublin Bay, has been the home of The Golf Club of Dublin since 1889.
Clubhouse
A warm welcome is received upon arrival in the clubhouse, whose red slate roof is an iconic part of the Dublin skyline. Our comfortable lounge and dining facilities have spectacular views while you relax pre or post round.
Dress Code
To ensure that our members and visitors feel at ease whilst visiting the Club we would ask that you please adhere to our dress code. We expect that all members and visitors wear an acceptable standard of attire both on the Links and in the Clubhouse.
Members must ensure that their guests are aware of the Club’s dress code policy.
Pro Shop
Our excellent teaching facilities include a pitching green with several bunkers, a large practice putting green, and a green grass driving range. Our new indoor swing and custom fitting centre using Trackman 4 technology opened in the winter of 2017 and was upgraded again in 2021.
Caddies
The Golf Club of Dublin can arrange the services of caddies for any visiting golfers. Caddies are independent contractors who are not employees of Golf Club of Dublin therefore we cannot guarantee their availability.
Corporate Events
We are a true links course with a long and proud history, which we tell through the memorabilia in our beautifully refurbished clubhouse. We have a number of bars and dining areas in the clubhouse, including our balcony overlooking the 18th hole, perfect for a post-golf BBQ on a sunny evening.
