18th Hole - Garden
Par 4 - Index 5 - 463 yards
Pro's Tip
Off the tee, the right side of the fairway sets up the possibility of carrying the out-of-bounds and lateral water hazard to make the green, which is the largest on the links.
History
Named after the garden which was associated with the Coastguard station. The Centenary book tells us ”...in spite of the exigencies of the time a lease was obtained from the British Admiralty in 1915 of a portion of ground now used as a practice fairway.” Probably the most famous finishing hole in Irish golf and is simply referred to as the Garden Hole.
